10 Months Old!

When Emerson was a newborn, I remember thinking that we had sooo much time before we even had to think about her turning one. Here were are....and she's already 10 months old, only one more post after this one before her first birthday. It's so bittersweet, I'm going to miss my wee baby as she continues to grow, but she is so fun at this stage as she seems to learn something new every single day. I was already a sentimental person before, but since having Em I am so sappy over anything to do with babies/kids. We watched a movie last week (About Time), and I balled my eyes out, and then went into Em's nursery and snuggled her.

I am so happy to say that her spitting up has been amazing these past four weeks. In fact, she didn't spit up at all for two weeks!!! She's done it a few times over the past couple of days, but it's still sooooooo much better! It's almost like we have a completely different girl on her hands, she's so much more content now too. We just feel like we have more freedom now, and that we can go places and do things without worrying that she's about to spit up all over everyone and everything. The spit-up is the one thing I will not miss as she continues to grow.

I signed a contract for the home daycare I talked about last month, I still feel so relieved that I have it all arranged and that I won't have to worry about it during the summer. Although the weather hasn't been great yet, it's been nice enough that we've been able to get out for walks most days and Em has been loving the fresh air.

Here's some tidbits from the past month:
- On March 24, Em weighed 20.17 pounds
- Her hair has grown quite a bit, her hair colour is the same as Andrew's
- She still just has 4 teeth, no new ones since February
- She has finally started pulling herself to standing, and now she stands holding onto everything
- We finally moved her into the regular bathtub because she was trying to crawl out of her whale tub on the sink
- Em loves clapping her hands
- We can say "arms up", and she lifts both arms above her head and smiles
- When we take her swimming, we sit her on the edge of the pool, and she will lean into our arms until she falls in
- We dunk her underwater now, and there have been no tears
- Every time we go into the nursery to get her, she is standing in her crib waiting for us
- She has started to feed herself some finger foods besides berries (potatoes, butternut squash, etc.)
- She loves berries, cheese, applesauce, bananas, sweet potato, butternut squash, cheerios, and whole wheat goldfish
- She has been sleeping amazing this month, still waking once a night for 5 mins, but otherwise she sleeps from 7-7
- She went to her first St.Patrick's Day party
- She spent her first whole day alone with Daddy, and she took a bottle for him twice! Daddy also put her to bed for the first time...it went great!
- She is constantly saying "dadadadadada" and "mamamama", but still not sure if she knows what she's saying or not. She's making new sounds every single day.
- She is obsessed with a drawer in the kitchen that has plates, cleaning wipes, and a box of plastic forks...she takes everything out multiple times a day.
- She has started sticking her tongue out
- This month we did the following: went swimming lots of times, went to Clarksburg to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cummings, had a visit from Grandma Levstik, went to Bethany and Zee's in Whitby, had Em's 9-month check-up, lots of playdates, went to the movies, and lots of other fun adventures!

She discovered the toilet paper...

Ready for her St.Patrick's Day party!

These are all the babies that we spend our time with (with one missing)

First Spring walk....haha

In the big tub (but in a hamper to keep her from falling over and to keep her toys from floating away)
 Where's Waldo?
Our little froggie...
